Strike the Pose

The ladies at the bank asked me to come by and "strike the Heisman" pose for their Tailgate Party.  It was hysterical, but I tried my best!  Even got the Georgia shirt and red Converse shoes to prove it! Oh, yes, and pearl earrings - because all the cool Heisman winners wear pearls!

Sports, Sports, and Sports

Bonner decided in the Summer that she wants to try her hand - or rather her arms - at volleyball!  Ian has picked soccer for his Fall sport.

Her first practice!

Hot and sweaty after his first game!

I didn't pick up a fall sport since my knee is still rather quirky feeling!  I have just relegated myself to be poolside - but now I can watch my games on the big screen ... and hear it!  We got outdoor speakers installed and it is awesome - for years, we have enjoyed the screen, but never been able to hear the sound very well so it's going to be terrific to actually see and hear the game while being outside!

1st Day of Fourth Grade

The kids were excited to meet their teachers this past Thursday night.  Ian got a "new to Oakview" teacher, Mrs. Leonard, and Bonner got Ms. Olivier who has been at Oakview for years!  Not sure which light-socket Ian put his hand in before posing for pictures, but his hair is proof it was one of them!

Bonner and Lexi posing outside the school!

Bonner with Ms. Olivier - not sure how I missed getting a picture of Ian with Mrs. Leonard, but I definitely did!  Both kids are thrilled with their teachers and we are looking forward to an awesome fourth grade year!

Another Painting

Bonner wanted to paint something for her dad for his birthday.  I thought this whimsical football paying homage to the G was terrific!

Enjoying the Last Days of Summer

Guess who moved back?  The Stephan family - several years ago, they lived on the other side of the Goforth's and Bonner and their oldest daughter, Lexi, were good buddies.  And Cammy was a huge help - as she was an angel during the hardest days of my separation and divorce.  Well, a couple of years ago, they moved back to New York to be closer to family ... but they missed the south and especially Spaulding Farm so they moved back!  We are super excited because, again, they are just around the corner and the girls have picked up right where they left off!

Bonner and Lexi - just after the ear piercing excitement!

Ian and Belle "night-night"!

We picked up Ian's holter monitor for him to do the baseline study with - he had to wear it 24 hours and was a rock star!

And when God makes it rain, you have to get out there and dance - or drink it - or whatever 10 year old girls do!

CATS Camp

The kids had another terrific year at CATS Camp.  One of the artists they studied was Georgia O'Keefe and this was Bonner's interpretation!  I was blown away!

Earring Fun

After CATS camp today, I took Bonner to the mall to meet up with Janelle and Lilian for our ear-piercing fun!  The girls were troopers and so pretty ... before and after!

She was so proud of herself and full of smiles!!

Janelle and I talked the girls into getting pearls as their first pair!  I just love these 2 cuties and so thankful they were able to do this together!
