Pigeon Forge, TN - Day 1

When I looked at the calendar a few weeks ago to see about my birthday celebration, I was super excited because I realized that we had the condo the weekend after my birthday, which also happened to be Mother's Day.  Unfortunately, it wasn't my weekend to have the kids so I asked Stewart to switch.  He didn't go for that which upset everyone - especially when the reason for not switching was because "it's the only weekend in May that we have Reeves."  Well, needless to say, the kids were disappointed; but I wasn't going to let that ruin my birthday!  So I set out to find something else for us to do on the weekend before my birthday!

I have been dying to take the kids to Dollywood since last summer so I started looking into that option.  With my knee, though, I knew that I wouldn't be able to get in and out of the rides with Bonner so I reached out to Janelle to see if Lilian might could go with us.  And as God works things out, she was able to go!

So, we picked her up after school on Thursday, the 3rd, and hit the road.  The drive was easy and we got there right in 2.5 hours.  We stopped at the grocery store and picked up some stuff to cook before we got to the cabin ... and what a cabin it was.  It had a full arcade with all kinds of arcade games and even had a movie theater!  The kids got settled right in and enjoyed an evening at the cabin!
